Epicurus 1 Peter 3:15 KJV But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: We came into the world with nothing; we grow in knowledge and obtain wealth to accumulate all kinds of materialistic things just to find the chains of bondage attached to some of them. We all know that things come and go in this life and nothing is immortal. Even the statues and monuments left to the elements of nature would soon fade from existence. The hope you find in Christ, is to everlasting and will never fade, never fail and never disappear. If we nourish that hope and allow it to manifest in our surroundings, think about how much more, the life you lead, is valued. The stuff we accumulate doesnt matter if it brings no value to our lives, homes that fade, friends that come and go, or a mountain of wealth doesnt equal the value of knowing that you know where your hope comes from. It is through Him that our sight is made clear for the world of people around you are the blind Bartimaeuses of today. Through our hope in Him, nothing else matters, because it is through that hope that our surroundings change forever. People live their lives trying to make them count for something that makes sense because they are unable to accept this precious life as a free gift. Not one of us were asked to be brought into this life, but the life after this, which is free to all who accept, is ours for the choices we make.
