Do not throw away your Vote Nigeria, You have only one vote In - TopicsExpress

Do not throw away your Vote Nigeria, You have only one vote In any election, you can only vote once. You have only one vote. This one vote is your power to influence the whole voting process and result. You must be prudent to use your voting power right so to make the positive effective change you expect and pray. Voting is your civic right but casting the vote is your civic duty. Do not waste it so you will not regret. A ‘one mistake’ of yours can affect the whole nation even the entire humanity greatly. If you vote for the right person and he wins, he will do well in the land but if you vote the wrong person and he wins, he will do wrong things in the land. You must realize that if the right person does well we will be happy. All we want is to make things become better in our land but if the wicked takes over the leadership, wickedness and evil will fill the land and fear as well as terror will grip the inhabitants of the land. How can we know the right person to vote? We know the right person not by their manifestoes, not by their accusations and counter accusations on television adverts that they claim to support. Not even by their so prepared and powerful debates. Our pre-knowledge of them does not even matter a lot. The reason why we should not judge by their manifestoes is because they are politicians and politicians go to school to study how to write a powerful manifesto to capture the attention of the populace. Those who did not go to school to study politics; do employ the advices of the real political academicians. Politics is like running around the globe, it has no end, the new person promising to do better than the previous one and when allowed to take the position, the reality, which he is not prepared to face, would confront him. He tries to tackle the situation the best way he could and the problem seem not to go away and the populace cry Do what you promised us but who wears the shoes knows where it hurts. What am saying is that the manifesto can not be trusted because the problem they envisages is deeper than what it really is, so there must be another way of assessing the politician. Their clip-clip Television ads/messages do not impress me because what I see is people trying to pull down others instead of pulling down the stronghold the enemy is creating in our land. They go after the pasts of others, their secret sins, their lifestyles and past shames and disgrace but never mention what they have done right. Some even go as far as searching out ones belief as if it matters in this country. Their ads are only the degradation of one and the exaltation of the other. To me no one has the right to bring any one person down to promote another at the expense of the whole nations. Their real motive to vie for the leadership position is most of the time for their own gain than the interest of the nation. We must be very wise to do the right thing and not let them lead us astray by their promises and our hardships. We must not allow our friends and relations to lead us into voting anyone that does not merit our one vote. We must not sell our vote very cheap! You stand receive disappointment because you credit is their promises! It is important that we know and appreciate the fact that when we vote some into a position it becomes our full responsibility to support him to serve us well including praying for him. If he fails us, we must accept the fact that we failed also, not him alone. If they do well in office, we agree that we are doing well. We must be very witty in choosing leadership. Let me call to mind when the Israelites rejected the leadership of God through Samuel the priest in 1Kings8:6-22; they demanded for a real king. God gave them a king not without a consequence. Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king. “He said “this will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to earn his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. He will take your daughters to be confectionaries, to be cooks, and to be bakers. He will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your olive yards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. He will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. He will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.” 1Sam 8:10-18 (KJV) If you are reading this and you do not know what Saul did on assumption of office as the first king of Israel please take time to read the Bible, 1Samuel, to be precise. There is always a price for wrong decisions. Hence, we must take time to choose whomever we vote. Nigeria is not just a nation she is a political blue print for African nations. Whatever affects her transcends what we feel and see because it affects other nations too, especially the third world nations who look upon Nigeria for lead. I suggest that Christians who are of voting age should go on fasting and praying for God to reveal to them the right person to vote. There is nothing too hard for him to do (Luke1:37). He searches the heart of everyone and knows every of our intents even before we act (Psalm139) He will remove the fowlers and they will not be seated at the head until the appointed time of the Lord. Those who cannot vote for whatever reason can do spiritual voting. It counts more and it is most intensely required. Pray to support the voters and dismantle the shaky foundations of the wicked politician wherever he might be. This we accomplished in the spiritual war! If you are not a Christian yet, consult whatever you belief and ask them to follow the footstep of a good God who wants good and hopeful future for his children. If you do not know how to do it, follow those who know how because we need supernatural intervention in the voting system of our nation. The populace, though very fickle and easily persuaded, should ask strength and wisdom from the one true God who rules by justice and truth. Do not waste your one vote, very important. Your one vote can turn the verdict around. Do not sell it cheap. God bless.
