Do people over treat Leish dogs? We give our dogs allopurinol. If they get sores, we double the dose. If they have been asymptomatic for a year, we halve the dose. Never seems to be a problem. Theres a group Im I called Living With Leish, and it is full of very sick dogs, and woo. Garlic pills, oil with rosemary in, all sorts of crap they are feeding and plastering on their poor dogs. Theres more quackery there that in the A&E Algarve group, which is saying something. I havent actually seen anyone suggest aromatherapy yet, but it is only a matter of time. Is this the problem?
