Do prayers have some limitations? The Bible (like John 14:14, Matt 7:11, 7:7) say so repeatedly & gives plenty of examples on how effective prayer can influence things in the world. Hence, the prayer offered in FAITH will make the sick person well....the prayer of a rightious person is powerful & effective (James 5:15-16). Bible also assures us dat God hears our prayer according to his GRACE &WILL but not our merit. (8:26-27). Jesus himself, the night b4 he was crucified, he prayed, father if ure WILLING, remove this cup from me; yet not MY WILL but urs be done(Luke 22:42). Here, the Bible emphasizes dat the prayer must be in acordance wit the WILL of God. Paul repeatedly asked dat his Thorn in the Flesh be removed but God did not remove it. (2 cor. 12:7), probably bcoz it is not in acordance wit Gods will. If it is schedled by God that Jesus will return in the year 2020, can our prayer change the date? Is it really everything we ask that we receive as Matthew 7:7 says?
