Do the math! By Timothy Michael Ricke You can find your best clients by simply doing the math. Here is how to apply this at networking meetings: If you have been giving your business card to everyone, is that getting results? I seldom offer my card, unless it is requested. Shocked? If you give your card to say 10 people in a group of 20; did you hear from them or obtain an appointment? Will they ever call? Look at it this way: You have seen those who approach you and push their card into your hand. What are you thinking at that moment? Uncomfortable? Here is my suggestion: “ Talk to as many networks as you can about what they do. If it interests you, you’re “Going to Ask” for for their card.. right? As you talk and built that relationship listen to them, then you proceed to share what you do. If they are interested they will “Ask for Your Card.” What are the odds you now have a possible client? You will find that many never ask for your card. If they don’t, look at the time you have saved.
