Do we have the healthiest people of any country here in the USA? Most of you would probably guess no and you would be right. According the CIA World Factbook, the U.S. is not even in the top ten or top 25. We rank 51st! The top five with the longest life expectancy are, in order, Monaco, Macau, Japan, Singapore, and San Marino. Canada, our closest neighbor ranks 13. The UK ranks 30th and France ranks 15. It could be worse. Chad is dead last (pun intended) ranked 223rd with a life expectancy of only 49 years. South Africa is next to last. If we get obesity and smoking under control, that could make a bit dent. Scientists predict, however, that humans are capable of living an average of 120 years. We just need to remove the obstacles to that life expectancy.
