Do you Sip Juice from Tin Cans? Must Read! Have you heard of Leptospirosis? Two family members were admitted to the ICU as they fell sick during their weekend picnic. One of them died some time later. The autopsy revealed that they suffered a very rare infection called Leptospirosis. Leptospirosis is highly fatal and spread mainly by contact with water or soil contaminated by the urine of infected animals. Investigations revealed that Leptospira bacteria was stuck to the tins cans they consumed without using glasses. These cans were contaminated with the urine of the infected mice which had dried on them. These cans were not washed and were used as they were, leading to the infection. So next time if you have to consume aerated drinks or juice from tins make sure you wash them and pour liquid in mugs….and then consume Adding up one more reason to avoid tinned food. #GOODMORNING
