Do you care about the Susquehanna River? PennEast pipeline open house at Coughlin High School 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 10, 80 N. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. There are 5 new natural gas pipelines, some eminent domain, proposed for Luzerne County. 2 of which are proposed to cross the Susquehanna River between Wyoming and Jenkins Twp., near the vicinity of abandon mine shafts and 1.7 miles downstream from the Knox Mine Disaster. Now is the time to speak up and get involved. Why? Because 3 pipelines were built in the county in the last 3 years, and there have been approximately 20 incidents related to them lowering the quality of our lives and will cost us tax dollars. This is on our county boarder and is getting closer.
