Do you do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result? Proverbs 25:28 says “Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.” When there are no walls surrounding a city any enemy at any time can attack! To fortify our hearts and minds and guard us against the enemies of our souls we need protection. 1 Peter 1:13 says, Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” The only consistent repetition that produces a better and different reality for us is the living word of God by destroying the works of Satan! 1 Thessalonians 5:8 “But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.” 1 Thessalonians 5:8 Romans 12:2 New International Version (NIV) 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Philippians 4:8 King James Version (KJV) 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Galatians 5:22-23 King James Version (KJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Psalm 51:10 New International Version (NIV) 10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within meekness, temperance: against there is no law.
