Do you eat “CLEAN”? If not, should you? Everyone has their own philosophy on what a good “diet” is and it is likely that you have yours. I have been on every “diet” like, cabbage soup, eat only bananas, Atkins, Low carb, no carb.. etc etc. I have decided that I am no longer “dieting” in the traditional sense of the word. If you were to check the current TRENDY diet, of “CLEAN EATING”, that is closest to how I choose to eat. I also happen to eat gluten free “most of the time” and eat many vegan meals. Clean eating is truly a way that you can eat the rest of your life and probably pretty close to how your grandmother, or great grandmother cooked. You can actually end up eating more and weighing less. Many people lose weight, but the most dramatic thing for me, was feeling so much better and actually getting to feel some real vitality again. There are a lot of eating clean definitions, but for me it means eating unprocessed, whole foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, and avoiding artificial ingredients, preservatives, sugars, saturated fat, trans fat and foods that contain chemicals (ingredients that we have no idea what it is). I try to eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day, which helps to increase your metabolism. I personally watch my calories in each of these mini meals working to keep all between 150 – 350 each since I have quite a bit of weight to take off. DO YOU EAT CLEAN? If not, will you give it a try?
