Do you ever look backwards to when you were a little kid and think of the music that you used to listen to, and then suddenly you realize how much music has changed, you tastes have changed, and while you still love the people you listened to as a child and they have a special place in your childhood memories you continue forward with new artists constantly streaming in. He had such a magical voice and it was mesmerizing to me. Being that I was also a singer but never really gaining the fame for it, I aspired to be like this little person I saw as if through a looking glass deep into a wonderland so fantastical as if from a dream. Now that Ive grown, matured, learned quite a few life lessons, and opened my eyes to many realities that the mind and eyes of a child cannot possibly understand. Well it never really occurred to me that people around me are always doing the same thing. So not long ago I found out that the boy I once looked at with the glossy eyes of an innocent child just watching someone seemingly like himself, was far more like myself than I could have ever imagined. A 19 year old young man, still with an amazing voice. Not untouched by time but made better with age and experiences that only the voice could express. Yet with quite a sense of humility.
