Do you ever perform Slow Mountain Climbers? The first demo - TopicsExpress

Do you ever perform Slow Mountain Climbers? The first demo shows how to do them correctly, and the second shows you how most people perform them incorrectly. They are a fantastic core exercise that falls into the Hip Flexion with Neutral Spine category, meaning that youre working hard to maintain a neutral spine, while you flex your hip and bring your knees towards your chest. Unlike traditional Mountain Climbers, these should be performed slowly, and they should be completely controlled. Your core should be working hard to stay nice and stiff and neutral the whole time! (Picture balancing a glass of wine on your tailbone) If youre not sure how youre doing, take a quick video and compare. If you find these to be too hard, elevate your upper body on bench, and if you find them to be too easy, hold your knee up for 3-5 seconds each side. :) (For more Core Training videos, check out this article: bit.ly/CompleteCoreTraining) #GirlsGoneStrong #GGS #CoreTraining
