Do you feel like your sweet cravings are out of control in the afternoon and evenings? If so, there may be more important underlying issues than you not having any self control. Lets look back on your day.. 1. Did you drink enough water? Sometimes your body can trick your mind into thinking its hungry when actually its just thirsty! 2. Did you provide yourself with enough nutrients from proteins and carbohydrates? You know how I feel about crazy low calorie diets!! 3. Did you implement enough healthy fats into your meals (oils, nuts, seeds, butters, omega-3s, avocado, etc.) Remember fats play important roll in your mood, mental stability, hormone levels, and weight control! 4. Ok now comes self control. How much sugar have you already had today? From your morning coffee to your afternoon snack the more sugar in your system can cause you to crave even more, so be mindful of your intake. 5. If you feel confident in 1-4 and your still just dying for something sweet, then let yourself have it! Of course in moderation...its not the end of the world :)
