Do you feel what I feel? Ever got excited simply because your friend did? And remember how you shared their sadness without even knowing why they were sad? Well now it seems science is coming down on what us pig lovers already know. Pigs feel empathy! In fact, pigs are great ‘sponges’ picking up on the feelings of those around them and they are incredibly aware. Whilst we would never wish for an animal to be unnecessarily stressed in the name of science or for any other reason, the writing is certainly now on the wall and should cause us to question our current treatment of these highly intelligent, sensitive and empathetic creatures.blogs.scientificamerican/not-bad-science/2015/01/13/can-pigs-empathize/
