Do you find it difficult to say the words I love you? Not just to family, but to friends as well. If what you feel is love, can you say it? Do you think it makes folks uncomfortable when you express your love? Can you love people youve never met or hardly know? Im a sayer and feeler of those words. I offer them often and freely like a beautiful, unexpected gift. I also receive those words with heartfelt appreciation and honor. I feel a little giddy when someone says I love you. This is all a relatively new way of life for me and its pretty amazing. Used to be, Id kinda shut down when folks verbally offered me their love. I think I was suspicious. I didnt believe we could simply love one another. Now, I know differently, cause I have a love of self. Do those three little words frighten you? Do you welcome them, believe them? Give them to others as well as yourself? This matters, friends. If youre frowning and thinking this is frou-frou feel good bullshit, I challenge you to dig deep and figure out why. When we can express a healthy love for one another and ourselves, I think it takes the edge off a world gone mad. Oh, and I love you.
