Fee AUD $8,400 On completion of the first course the student will enrol in 11379 Advanced Diploma of Accounting. Fee AUD $4,200 Total Fee for the 1.5 year package course AUD $12,600 If you apply for the 1.5 year Advanced Diploma of Accounting package course (11379) you will be able to apply for a 1.5 year visa. Diploma of Accounting Course Fee: AUD $8,400 Duration: 1 year full time Delivery Location: Blacktown College February and July intake The Hills College (Castle Hill campus) February intake only Entry Requirements Academic: Year 10 or equivalent plus the Entry Units listed under Course Structure. These units will be delivered concurrently with the Diploma qualification English: • Academic IELTS 5.5 overall with no individual band lower than 5.0 or • TOEFL (iBT) 46 or • TAFE NSW Certificate III in English for Further Study or • Proof that the medium of instruction at school has been in English with satisfactory grades in English in final examinations Course Description This qualification reflects professional accounting job roles in financial services and other industries. It contributes to, but does not encompass, educational requirements for providing tax agent services. A tax agent service is any service that relates to ascertaining or advising about the liabilities, obligations or entitlements of an entity under a taxation law; or representing an entity in their dealings with the Commissioner of Taxation. Career Opportunities The primary pathway from this qualification is employment in accounting job roles with duties such as: introducing and maintaining accounting systems, maintaining internal control systems, preparing financial statements for a non-reporting entity, preparing tax returns, reporting on business performance, managing small teams, developing business plans, and preparing accounting reports for management. Note: The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) has selected 3 authorities to complete qualifications assessments for the ANZSCO code occupations of Accountant (General), Management Accountant and Taxation Accountant and External Auditor.
