Do you get the same feeling as I do that a film review reveals more about the critic than the film? And that its not a nice revelation? If its Bhatt film, I check the rhapsody trillers name and right enough, its a Desai who otherwise, week after week, gets his jollies from ridiculing the film his paper paid him to watch. ... Similarly, reviews of a YRF, Dharma or UTV film has trade analysts bending over when trade guys should stick to trade collections and predictions but not be critiquing the creative aspects. ... Stars, of course, are rarely antagonised. Big stars like Akshay Kumar or the Khans are never ever faulted. Its always the jackass of a director or if he happens to be a producer- director and therefore the one who sends those fat cheques to your advertising department for full page ads, then voila! Its the writer. Which brings me to the million dollar question. Do dogs eat dogs?
