Im excited to watch this new show on DIY Network this Thursday called Back Flip, its about breathing life back into forgotten homes that have become really messed up through painful renovations or owner neglect...but in a way that is actually architecturally appropriate to the original design and period. Its about finding the stuff to save...not just ripping everything out. Its about seeing what the house was...and what it can be again. And its about learning from someone that actual lives and breathes this passion of preservation. The premier series focuses around the incredible 1970s home of a former celebrity in Palm Springs that went from chic, mid-century modern to a pagoda filled nightmare and now is back where it began...but even better!
