Do you have advice for this parent? Can you suggest something for my 8 year old daughter? She hates to do activities that she views as unsuitable - going grocery shopping with me; going out to eat with the family (I need a break as I have to cook vegetarian, no-salt from scratch for DH daily). Sometimes shell do these things ok, but if she disagrees she digs her heels in and gets nasty, ranting and calling me names. I cant leave her alone, and dont have family or babysitters ($20/hr). I try to get her to make the best of the situation. I try to give her one-on-one time but she usually says no right after school when Im available and asks for time when I need to make dinner.
