Do you have an anxious or fearful dog? If so it is probable that you worry about certain situations in case it bites, and that worry will transmit itself to the dog. You can feel more relaxed and more able to manage situations if your dog wears a muzzle - it also lets strangers know to keep their dog under close control near you and that you are trying to deal with your dogs issues. Introducing the dog to wearing a muzzle should be done gently and slowly so that you dont frighten your pet. Wearing a muzzle should be a positive experience for him/her - not something to be fought the whole time it is on.
