Do you have an old crock pot gathering dust in your basement? If so, would you consider donating it to the Coalition in Support of Hungry Children. They will be holding a class for low-income individuals to teach them the advantages of crock pot cooking. Each participant will be given the crock pot to take home with them at the end of the class. The free class will be taught by ISU Extension. It will be scheduled to be held in early fall if enough crock pots are obtained to hold a class. If you love to frequent garage sales and see a crock pot for sale at a reasonable price, consider buying it and donating it to the Coalition. If you have a crock pot to donate, please drop it by the League Office or the Bargain Basket.
