Do you have any information that could help us find those responsible....? We are sad to report that Compton Hospice has been subject to a number of lead thefts at our Cedars Fundraising and Education Centre on Compton Road West. Thieves first targeted the site on the morning of 12th June as they removed a large portion of lead from the our Lymphoedema Clinic which is currently undergoing refurbishment work. During this time our garden sheds were also broken into and a series of gardening items and equipment taken. The brazen thieves then returned to the site in the early hours of Saturday 21st June as they stole lead from the bay window areas and roof of our Fundraising offices. Although CCTV footage is able to confirm the time the thieves entered the property unfortunately the individuals cannot be identified. It is estimated that the volume of lead stolen and damages to the property amounts to approximately £5000. Compton Hospice continues to support West Midlands Police with their enquires into this matter. If you have any information regarding the thefts please call West Midlands Police on 101.
