Do you have thoughts for this parent? Hi. I was wondering if you or your readers could offer some advice. My 23 mo-old daughter is generally very assertive at home. Lately at the playground, Ive found that she apologizes to any kid she encounters. For example, she was crossing one of those rope bridges. She was halfway across when another girl came on from the other side. My daughter immediately backed up to the beginning and got off saying, I sorry, again and again. Its really surprising to me. Im wondering how I can help her to be confident in herself and her right-of-way. I tried letting her know that she did not need to be sorry, that she can play right along with everyone else, but Im not sure if theres something Im missing. Thanks!
