Do you have video of Morrisville? Ok, so bare with me as I - TopicsExpress

Do you have video of Morrisville? Ok, so bare with me as I think out loud (well, I guess I am typing) So, I have seen videos for other towns on Youtube or their government homepage and I was wondering if we had something like that? If not, or even if we just want to update our ‘material’ so to speak, we can do that. Recently I have been spending quite a bit of time using Final Cut Pro to make short videos documenting our tablet project at my school, so while I am no ‘expert’, I could do that here, but I just need material. So if you think it would work, what I would need is video to edit and put together. I am looking for ALL different stuff from the history of the town, to the schools, parks, events, etc. We really would want everything because sometimes footage is good even if it is just for ‘B-Roll’ or background video while someone else is talking/narrating so sound quality most likely does not matter. It could be video of kids playing baseball down at the the Little League, footage from the National Night Out, people reading books at the library, a couple eating dinner at La Villa, someone giving a tour of Summerseat, Santa coming around on the firetruck….anything really. I know a lot of people have some awesome still pictures also which could obviously be incorporated as well. So obviously it would be a bit of a challenge to gather all of these files to one place, but I have just been using a Google Drive to collaborate with some of the teachers from the other schools in this project who are located all across the country for most of my stuff and it seems to work well. With that, you could just share any video you have from your house/computer without having to meet up with like 20 different people. Also, I know many people have IPhones now and they take pretty decent video, so even if you don’t have video equipment you could still contribute. If you take video, you would want to shoot it at the best quality you can so it blends together better. Obviously that takes up more space, but you can dump it off your device immediately to the Google Drive. What are your thoughts? Here are two examples of videos I found just doing a quick search: https://youtube/watch?v=bv1grBPT5lk https://youtube/watch?v=kNEI-4b4rVs&index=1&list=PLqND3a74Sq7RaL1OkO0EDl0aZc7yaC4Ns
