Do you have what it takes to work at the Hipp? The Hipp is seeking an Arts Admin/Company Manager intern! The focus of this internship is to assist both the artistic and administrative teams in the daily workings of the theatre. The Arts Administration Internship provides excellent experience in preparation for work in the non-profit field, particularly the arts. Through hands-on experience, you will learn how to successfully plan and complete projects, work collaboratively with a team, manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines. Furthermore, you will gain experience in the administration of a non-profit professional theatre. This is a full-time internship. Essential Job Functions • Assist Managing Director and Director of Operations in areas of grants, administration, company management, marketing, and public programs • Conduct research for administrative and artistic projects • Write letters and text for administrative and artistic projects • Assist in the preparation of grant applications and reports, including proofreading of administrative and artistic text • Provide support to the Artistic Director and the Assistant to the Artistic Director in the scheduling of auditions, projects, and programs • Arrange all travel and local housing arrangements, including transportation to and from airports and shipping baggage, for actors, directors, designers, playwrights, interns and VIPs • Update and distribute itineraries and schedules for artists and arrange transportation for artists for marketing events, interviews with local media, and other local errands as required • Maintain company housing and furnishings inventory for guest artists and interns as well as scheduling cleaning and maintenance for all apartments • Maintain budgets and receipts for housing, transportation, and hospitality expenses • Oversee arrangements for production-related and in-house social functions including photo shoots, opening, and closing night functions • General intern assignments during morning, afternoon, and evening hours, including but not limited to mail-outs, postering, openings, strike, sales campaigns and special events Questions?
