Do you know how to be a super hero? How many people do you know who actually live by a code or a vow, a word concept or philosophy that they know by heart and is part of their soul, a discipline that they would sacrifice their life before they broke? This is why we are still making movies and writing books about groups like the Vikings, Templar Knights, Samurai, and the Spartans. They followed a code or vow that allowed them to overcome great obstacles and hardships. They are made more modernized in a fictional character like Batman, with nothing more than a few gadgets and his mind that overcome god-like beings like Superman. He can do this with nothing more than the strength of his convictions and unbreakable personal vows. We see this path. We know how wondrously great it is, but we relegate it to our entertainment rather than our lives. We are missing the knowledge that it is one thing to know the path but another to walk the path. It takes great strength, discipline, and courage to walk this path. It is a difficult path. It is for this reason that we find ourselves in such great turmoil in our lives for we have no true codes or values that we follow.
