Do you know of a site or building that isnt currently recognized but you think should be? There are two organizations currently accepting nominations to recognize and bring significance to historic sites. Chinese Historic Places Recognition Project Nominate a historic site with ties to Chinese Heritage to celebrate British Columbias diversity, and recognize and acknowledge the contributions of Chinese Canadians in British Columbia. A selection of the nominated sites will be formally recognized on the Canada and BC Register of Historic Places. Closes February 20th. tinyurl/l7tr7xb The National Trust Top Ten Endangered Places List Bring national attention to threatened heritage and historic sites. The National Trust weighs significance of the site, emergency of threat, and community support for preservation in determining the final 10 sites. Closes March 31st. ow.ly/HMZrf
