Do you know that there is a.law, Republic Act 8481, called as the Flag and heraldic Code of the Philippines which mandates not to throw, destroy or use as rags the old, faded and torn out Philippine Flags and instead bury these flags in an honorable cerrmony to end its use by burning, like a dead body to be cremated and buried in an underground tomb in a with much honors and respect? The violators of this law, can be imprisoned especially, if they belong to the uniformed personnel, the Police and the Military. This afternoon, I will witness the burning, cremation and the burial of all the torn, old Philippine Flags used by government agencies, schools, offices in the Caraga Region Initiated by the Philippine National Police, who together with Leaders from various sectors voted me to become the Chairperson of the Police Battalion Advisory Council. The Philippine Flag is the symbol of our Nationhood, our Culture and History as a people and as a Sovereign Nation. We, Filipinos must therefore be proud of our Flag, which our great and noble Fathers, Mothers and Heroes shed tears, sweat and blood to make us Free. Really, we have to love our Motherland. Keep it free from all forms of aggression, slavery, ugly and painful experiences of abuse, neglect, greed, injustice, ignorance and poverty. For God created a Motherland, a.Home for every one, to make each world Citizen feel being taken cared of, protected, secured and loved. Yes, My fellow Filipinos, let us renew each day our great love for our Country by respecting our Flag and all our symbols of Nationhood.For no matter where we go, live and change our Citizenship, the blood running in our veins, would say, we are still FILIPINOS! Time to renew our vows to love our Country and say Hail to the Philippine Flags!..
