Do you know the difference between the Vexilar Inc Pro view - TopicsExpress

Do you know the difference between the Vexilar Inc Pro view transducer vs. The Tri-beam? In a simple explanation the Pro view allows us as anglers to adjust cone angle through the use of the gain dial. As we turn the gain up the cone expands or widens. As we turn the gain down the cone retracts or narrows. When using the Tri-beam transducer an angler controls cone angle by mechanical switches. By manually selecting 3 different cone angles an angler can focus the interpreted water to the specific cone angle of choice. When using the Tri-beam the gain dial will tend to actually distort the Ping when turned up and does not widen the angle of the cone. In theory the Proview featured in the all new Vexilar FL28 has infinite amounts of cone angles all the way up to 40 degrees when the gain is maxed out. As I kick around these two transducers, I cant help but think of a distinct scouting advantage when searching holes for big Crappies with the gain juiced up on the Pro View transducer. Then upon location of a school dialing the gain down to focus in on the fish nearest my presentation. To each their own, but this Pro View sounds like the REAL DEAL!! vexilar/products/index.php?prodNum=TB0051
