Do you know the history of how the symbol of the flaming chalice came to represent Unitarian Universalism? After a discussion about a new name for our newsletter, I became curious and did some research. Heres a brief snippet of what youll find at the Wikipedia entry linked below: It became an underground symbol in occupied Europe during World War II for assistance to help Unitarians, Jews, and other people escape Nazi persecution.
