Do you know the interesting story of Roy Mays ‘15, one of our Yell Leaders? At age 34, he may well be the oldest Aggie Yell Leader in the schools history. Born in Bryan Roy had a 12-year career in the Army before he enrolled as an undergraduate at A&M. His time in the Army is anything but typical. He is an Iraq combat vet, spent 4 1/2 years with the The Old Guard at Ft. Myer. Following that, he was a Tomb Sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery. After leaving the military he enrolled at A&M, ran for Yell Leader & won! Of his fellow Yell Leaders, Roy says “They are all wonderful guys and are going to be incredibly successful men with high aspirations. Mainly, they keep me feeling young, and its a fun dynamic. Quite a story. Quite a guy! Gig ‘em, Roy! Whoop!!!
