Do you know what the idea of International Peacekeepers entails? The idea is that the peacekeepers are backed by significant military power. If one party or the other violates the peace or attacks the peacekeepers, the sky falls on the offender. For example, several peacekeepers were taken hostage in Syria. What should happen is that several battalions of infantry and countless military aircraft show up and tell the hostage takers that: !. you will return all the hostages now. 2. You will turn over all the officers, leaders, decision makers to initiated this hostage thing now. If you dont or we have to go get them, we will execute all your leaders as war criminals and wipe out all armed resistance.
