Do you know you are the meaning of the universe in God’s - TopicsExpress

Do you know you are the meaning of the universe in God’s creation? Genesis clearly shows us God’s eternal purpose and His heart’s desire! In chapter 1 & 2, after creating all things, God looked at them and thought it was good, but something was missing. God created everything according to its kind, but there was nothing according to God’s kind. ‘Everything is good but how about Our Kind?’ Therefore, the Triune God made a strong decision through the divine conference! The Bible says, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him” (Gen. 1:26, 27a). It doesn’t say, “Let Me make in My image.” It clearly says, “Let Us make in Our image.” The verse shows that Our God is the Triune God! He is three in one! He’s mysterious! His name is Wonderful! This wonderful God created man in His own image and likeness! Did you ever know that you are God’s kind? Acts 17:28b says, “For we are also His race.” 2Pet. 1:4 says that we are the partakers of the divine nature! Monkeys can’t partake of human beings’ nature because they are a different kind! But we, as God’s kind, can take partake of His divine nature! Rom. 11:17 says, “If some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted among them and became a fellow partaker of the root of fatness of the olive tree.” In order to be grafted, the two trees must be the same kind! Grafting produces an organic union! It’s not the exchanging a poor life for a better life. It is the uniting of 2 lives as one so that they may share one mingled life and one living! Such a mingling of life takes place when the two pass through death (cutting) and resurrection (growth). This is our union with Christ! How marvelous God’s desire is! Many people think that God is just sitting at the throne in the heaven and we are miserable sinners crawling on the earth, so we should worship Him, make a bow to Him. And we just ask Him for some help, strength, etc. However, God’s heart’s desire for us is to be one with God and to contain Him as our content! That is why not only He created man in His image and according to His likeness, but formed spirit in man! Tonight I’m so thankful that I’m a human being with a spirit! I’m the meaning of the whole universe! When we say, ‘image’, it means inward attributes. If you look at the ten commandments given to Moses, we can see what kind of God He is. He is love, light, holiness, and righteousness. So, no matter you are a good person or a bad one, you have something that is like God’s attributes. You have love, light, holiness, and righteousness. Though someone is such a bad person, when he does something bad, he senses he is doing something wrong in his deepest part because God created man in His image. Then, what is the likeness? It is more likely to be the outward form. Every man has God’s likeness. God has eyes, mouth, hands…like you do. Isn’t this wonderful? God created you according to His likeness! And formed a spirit within man! God’s breath became man’s spirit! God’s is Spirit! (John 4:24) You can understand this when you think about an empty glove. What is the glove for? It is made to contain a hand! Even though you try to put your hand into a jar, a cup, or a box, it doesn’t quite fit. But when you put your hand into a glove, it perfectly fits! Why? Because it is made in your hand’s image and likeness! We are like this empty glove before we receive God in us. We have God’s image and likeness but still empty. But as soon as you contain a hand, you are perfect and strengthened! Unless you contain God as your content, your love, light, and other attributes are not that strong. God doesn’t want you to be a ‘good’ person, but He wants to come into you and become the very content! He wants to become your love, light, holiness, everything! He wants to manifest Himself in you! He doesn’t want you to just worship, bow down, and ask Him for things or help. He wants to become your very content! 2Cor. 3:18 says, “But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit.” Also, Rom. 8:29, “..Those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son…” 1 John 3:2b says, “We know if He is manifested, we will be like Him because we will see Him even as He is.” Hallelujah! This is our destiny! This is God’s heart’s desire and eternal purpose described in the whole Bible! He wants to have this relationship with men! We’re becoming Him in life and nature! In Rev. 4, God is described as jasper stone and in ch. 21, the New Jerusalem which is the totality of all the believers is described as jasper stone. Jasper stone signifies the ‘richness in life.’ As clay and earthen vessels, we will be transformed unto ‘jasper stone’ in the end which is God’s full expression! Full of God’s life! For this, Rom. 8:28 says, “All things work for good to those who love God and to those who are called according to His purpose.” His purpose is to gain a corporate expression of Himself! Then, how can we become His expression who bears His image in full? The answer is in 2 Cor. 3:16-18. “Whenever their heart turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away…The Lord is the Spirit…with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror…being transformed into the same image…” Image doesn’t come cheap! You need to keep turning to Him, coming to Him, spending time with Him, being infused with Him, being filled with Him! You need to open your whole being with ‘turned heart!’ With unveiled face! No concept, no tradition, no religion! Just turn your heart to the Lord! Just be filled with Himself! Forget about doing or working! Just love Him and be filled up with Him! Hallelujah!
