Do you like Kevin Spacey and Sam Rockwell? What about Science Fiction... I have the movie for you... Moon (film). Watched this gem last night, was brought up on AMC movie talk... Its a slow burn with a great payoff. Loved it. It is set in the near future where a mining colony on the Moon is used to excavate Helium-3 for fusion power. Sam Rockwell is great as Sam Bell, a maintenance worker living on the far side of the moon cut off from society for 3 years. The cinematography is top notch for an independent film, not on the grand scale of grandiose visuals youd expect from Tarkovsky or Kubrick but Duncan Jones shows us what he can do with Science Fiction on an indie budget... The film also dives into many of the social and philosophical issues that we may face in the future. Bonus treat, Kevin Spacey lends his voice talent. I know this is not a current film, and many people may have already seen it, but it certainly deserves a watch, or another look.
