Do you like rafting, are you ready to get wet, if yes, then come to join us. The MengdongRiverrafting is located inYongshunCounty, the birthplace of the Tujia minorities. About 2 and half hours drive from zhangjiajie city. The rafting covers about 47km. and last about 3 hours. The river flows through steep country between high cliffs. There is no industry at all, the water is never been polluted and very clear, it is soft and cool, you can see the colorful stones at the bottom, the fishes swimming, in some of the part, the water flowing very fast and have big waves, which makes the tour quite exciting. and in those parts there always rescue crew stand by. Breathing the fresh airs, looking at the cliffs stretch out above you head, you get such a special and unforgettable experiences. In the smooth part, all the people on the raft are playing with water. Almost every body rent a water gun; they fight with each others, laughing, screaming and shooting, if you are not a good fighter, you really need keep a low profile. During the rafting, there are lots of water fall, if you did not ask, the captain will go under the water falls, this water is extremely cool. One of the water fall is very big, you can hear the noise far away, then you see the waters falling all the way down from the mountain top, spilt in different directions. If you have a water proof camera, just bring it. In the downstream, there are some excellent places for swimming. Water is deep and smooth, clear and cool, but do not take off you life jacket, even you can swim like a fish. Always safety first.
