Do you live abroad and are not sure on how to register and vote abroad? Draft legislation currently before Parliament in South Africa will give all South African citizens the right to vote in national elections, even if they’re outside the country on Election Day. When approved, the Electoral Amendment Bill 2013 will allow South Africans to register and vote abroad in national elections. Only once the legislation is approved by Parliament and signed into law by the President (anticipated to be before the end of 2013) will arrangements for registering abroad be finalised and published.
