Do you live in Ottawa? Do you live in Jody Mitics riding? Jody Mitic is a veteran, he sustained what is termed a catastrophic injnury while serving Canada in Afghanistan. Jody MItic is a survivor, loyal and true, his motivation to serve the nation, then and now, is sincere, based upon a love of nation and a willingness to serve, defend and perpetuate the values and strengthen the pillars of Canadian democracy. Jody Mitic is new to municipal politics, yes, but have no doubt that he has a powerful will to continue to serve, to engage in public office to better the lives of Canadians. Those who reside within Jodys Area of responsibility can be rest assured they WILL have a strong champion at city hall, one who will fight for THEM and the values and expectation they have of their mayor and city council. Many will stay home tomorrow, Canadians are to apathetic when it comes to voting and while I may have no influence on them, we have earned a certain level of respect/credibility within the veterans community. Many have followed, have joined our quest for Pension Act equality standards for veterans by financially supporting CVA missions in Ottawa through small donations or offering their support in person when we have bugouted to respond to government intransigence. Many have offered support in the future and it is on this level I am reaching out to you today. The CVA is a strong supporter of encouraging veterans to enter to the political realm, to continue to serve the nation as they have done so SELFLESSLY while in uniform. Now it is time for you, if you live in Jodys Area of Responsibility , to serve your nation by embracing your most fundamental right to choose who will represent you through democratic process. Please, Respond to the call, be the master of your destiny by fully participating in the democratic process at ALL levels. And lets put this in another perspective. OUR NATION, the values we cherish, are being attacked at the basest level. EVERY vote sends a message, YOIR vote declares that YOU stand for the nation and the democratic principles that makes Canadas the greatest place in the world to live. We all have an obligation to Mother Canada, to fight, to stand proud when our nation calls, to be.... Canadian. VOTE! Michael L Blais CD
