Do you really want fluoridation to end? If the answer is yes, ask yourself what am I willing to do to end fluoridation? What was your answer? Was it Anything! I am willing to do anything!... Well we have something you can do and it will end fluoridation once and for all for all Australians... I am from the Fluoride? Not without consent group and the past few weeks have brought about an exciting new direction in our campaign to end fluoridation. After much debate and consternation, we have concluded that the only way to tackle this is on a state level australia wide. The reason for this is two fold. 1. Each state has different legislation on who decides to fluoridate, some allow councils to decide, some allow council in consultation with the state to decide and most are state decided. 2. Here in Queensland the cairns council successfully had legislation changed to allow councils to decide to fluoridate or not however this poses a problem for future decisions. Every shire that has successfully removed fluoride in Queensland is only free until their next election. While most of us would continue to fight on if the new council decided to fluoridate, the energy required to fight it every 3 years will eventually be sapped from us only to be passed on down to the next wave of fighters and then onto our children and their children. Lets not put the burden of this fight onto our children. Lets finish the fight here and now!!! We need a national campaign that everyone can use. We believe we have found it. We have studied the fluoridation issue intensely and looked at the successes and defeats from around the world, and we believe the only way to change this policy is through the issue of consent to treatment. If asked directly, Do you believe it is ok to violate our human rights and treat the public against their will and without their consent? 90% of people say no, they do not believe it is ok, yet the legislation ties the hands of those politicians who agree that its not ok. We have to show them that the australian people want the legislation changed to reflect our Human right of Consent to Treatment of any kind. We believe we will achieve this with the Fluoridation Legislation Amendment Letter Of Will. This will give us legal options that no other tactic can or has been able to in the past. We need all Australians to sign this so that we can have legislation changed so that no fluoridation can occur without the written consent of every individual in the affected region. If Australians really want fluoridation to end, then we need to do anything and everything to achieve it ... Legally this letter is the only way we can find to make this work. While education is important.. its not going to change anything unless the legislation is changed. The legislation wont get changed based on the science because of the corruption in the system. The only way the legislation will get changed is on the Consent issue and through the will of the People. To make that change happen we must get as many Australians as is possible to sign this letter and send it in. We are launching this campaign Australia wide this week, and each state will require 50% +1 of the states population to sign a letter. In practical terms we could only need 15 - 25% and at those markers, we will definitely table the demand to change legislation in the state parliaments. The beauty of this letter is that it can be used on a local level first if that is what a shire wants to try, then if the council wont or cant stop fluoridation, those same letters can be added to the states tally that we are collecting without the need for a second letter to be drawn up. As part of this new campaign we will be emailing businesses all over the country to print out the Letters of will and have them on their counters to sign. You can help by compiling a list of emails for us to use in your area and sending them to us. Include organic businesses and cafes, naturopaths, chiropractors, dentists that you know are against fluoridation, holistic practitioners, health food stores, water filter shops etc.. We will target these first, then move on to more general businesses. The other thing you can do is volunteer to go out and collect signatures either on the sidewalk or at markets and fairs. If you want to do this just ask us how we do it here on the sunshine coast and we can set you up. What do you have to lose by joining us in this campaign?
