Do you remember a time you worked a job or two and went to school? This very sweet young couple came into the shelter today to surrender Tyson their 9 month old white pit. Theyve had him since he was 3 months old and someone gave him to them off the street. He had worms when they got him so they dewormed him, neutered and vaccinated him. They crate him while they are at school because they share a yard and dont trust that the gate wont be left open. They do everything right but thought it was wrong to keep him in a crate for long periods of time so they thought surrendering him was their only option. After speaking to Amanda, DDR is going to have a kennel installed in their yard so he will be secure and they can potty train him and keep him inside with their other dog Niko when they get home. Amanda also gave them new collars & leashes. Tyson now gets to stay in his loving home keeping another dog out of the South LA Shelter!
