Do you remember occupying the biggest table at a fine dine - TopicsExpress

Do you remember occupying the biggest table at a fine dine restaurant? Yes, we all have done that. We’ve spent a good dinner date with more than 10 family members and had their favourite Punjabi food. Well, CityShor is introducing a new restaurant in the city called Honey Comb which exactly provides you an opportunity to relive those old days. Honey Comb is a proper family restaurant for the taste buds of everyone. Probably not all parents are comfortable eating fusion and funky dishes of today’s time. So why not bring happiness on their faces by trying to eat what they used to love – masaledar Punjabi food. This weekend step in to Honey Comb and try spiciest and the most masaledar Punjabi food in the city. Jumping straight to our food experience, CityShor team started with Tomato, Broccoli Almond, Mexican Chilly Bean and Lemon Coriander soup. We intentionally didn’t pick anything fancy because that’s what their expertise is. Old is gold is what they strongly believe in. And yes they are true to their words – absolutely chatakedar food it was. Moving onto starters, we had Mexican Skillet, Paneer Shole, Bharvan Aloo, Paneer Dhaga roll, Andhra Chilly Paneer (spiciest of all) and Dragon fung. All starters were served very aptly along with soup. Let us make a confession here, they didn’t stick to that authentic versions of these dishes; however, they definitely brought in same old taste which we used to have in our child hood days. Every single dish was high on spices, but it was not spicy (teekha) in literal sense; aptly cooked and not too buttery or oily. When we just managed to finish all of it, there came main menu – main course. Who in today’s time can eat this much. Since we were too heavy on starters, we ordered only two sabzis which is Paneer Dhamaka and Veg Kofta along with assorted bread basket. Needless to say, it was absolutely delicious. If we want to summarize our experience, we would say Honey Comb has actually mastered the art of offering you a very different and a peculiar taste which genuinely nobody else in the city offers. If we can compare anyone who can come close to what they are offering, then probably The Westend is one such place. No more talking now. Be there this weekend and experience it yourself.
