Do you remember the Buffs? many people now think they are gone. But they never left. When they lost the club in Vevey Street, they took a room above the Roe Buck. 13 years ago, they moved from there to the Broadfield Arms, on Leyland Lane. We still have 2 lodges meeting there. Sunday 12.30pm - Leyland Lodge Alternate Mondays 8.00pm - New Era Lodge. 2 more meet in Chorley A mens fraternal brotherhood, the Organisations objectives are to assist necessitous members in difficult times and to support such charitable causes, both local and/or national as we are able. We do this by having FUN. We are not tin rattlers. we do not go door to door soliciting cash r donations. We use what resources we possess and decide mutually what and how we can raise funds for which ever good causes we decide. In my fathers day, hundreds of Leyland men belonged to the Buffs. Today it is a struggle to find new members, because we have failed to keep the public informed of where we are and what we do. But now we have decided it is time to open up and let the public know we are still here and we are open for new member. Men 18 or over and of good character are invited to make there interest known and ultimately come and join us. The commitment would simply be to attend as often as you are able, but your family and work come first. You will become an equal member of the lodge and able to put forward your views and ideas and play a full part in our activities. Interested and want to know more? contact me by emailing barryskelhorn@msn or why not pop in before or after a meeting and have a chat with a member?
