Do you remember the Storm of the Century in Asheville in 1993? It was early spring, I started video taping the flowers in our front yard on that warm spring day. Then slowly but surely it started snowing. I thought this snow would go away in a little bit. How wrong I was about going away. The snow kept coming and getting stronger. It turned into a blizzard not seen in a hundred years. Sharon managed to get home in knee deep snow on that day with the flu. I got Sharon settled in and I decided to go outside in the blizzard and do some video taping. I had to make goat trails in order to tape the scenes you see in my video. The winds were gusting up to fifty miles and hour at times. Fifteen minutes into the video I notice I could no longer feel my fingers. I stopped taping and put my hands into my pockets to warm them back up and proceeded to video tape again. The snow was pretty but dangerous as the video shows.
