Do you remember the old Ripley’s Believe it or Not TV show from back in the 80’s? Even if dont remember the show Im sure youve at least walked past the exhibit on 42nd St or seen the pictures online. The point is, whether its the show or the exhibit the allure is that everything is so bizarre youre not sure whether its fact or fiction. Well, believe it or not, the same is true in faith. Face it, there are some pretty smart people believing some common Christian urban legends. And they’re so common that you may believe some of them, too! That’s why last Sunday, we kicked off a new teaching series called Don’t Believe It: Dumb Things That Smart People Believe! My hope is that you’ll continue to join us for what promises to be one of the most fun (and eye-opening) teaching series ever at The Journey Church. In this teaching series we are debunking some of the biggest myths we have come to believe about Christianity.
