Do you schedule time to THINK every day? We like to get into a routine don’t we? It is in our comfort zone to go to work, come home, have dinner, watch TV and go to bed. But has there been any time in your day where you have consciously scheduled time to set your goals and aspirations for the day, week, month, year? How do we know if we are on track to achieving the life we keep wanting and dreaming about? What I like to do is put aside even 10 minutes (minimum) at the start of each day and ask myself “What exactly do I want to achieve today and how will I know if I have hit the mark at the end of the day”? You see, when we think, we get creative and when we get creative, we become motivated. When we become motivated, we feel empowered, and as an empowered person, you will be more likely to achieve the goals you set out for that day, leading to your goals for the week or month. The most important thing here is to WRITE DOWN your ideas and goals… because the moment those ideas go down on paper, they become REAL and you become accountable to those goals. Once this happens, even subconsciously you will start to do activities that align with those goals and before you know it you will be achieving what you set out to! This can be done when you wake up, on the train, in your first 20 minutes of work (with the phone off) or sit down with your partner and do it together! Just remember to have a mark where you know you have achieved what you set out to achieve….so you know you are heading in the right direction. Cheers - Hamish Reid
