Do you see that weld below ?? it was approved by some Jr. racing association...if you look at the weld yea it looks good...but look at the drop off of the thickness of the ear they are welding...they have actually decreased the thickness down to about 50 percent making the whole thing very weak....and the Pro welder guy was clueless, the guy inspecting his work was clueless...and the guy who approved this for a racing association should be shot....the weld should never decrease the dia of the piece you are welding....that is just stupid !! it should of been welded so as to make a complete flat on top not have a big dip into the Bar.....see what I am talking about....??? this is welding class 101.....I use to be a welding inspector at Lockheed and we did work on the Space shuttle and Fighter jets too...If I ever passed anything like this I would of lost my job....
