Do you think its ok to put long, boring, personal stuff like this on here? I guess I could put it on a different page. Im curious to see if others have similar experiences. Nobody has to read it, obviously. I Have Flashbacks. Brief, pleasant memories of incidents in my youth triggered by routine activities. I am not obsessive, but I am conscious of the importance of cleanliness. I wash my hands several times during the day. If I am in the company of others at the time, I wash my hands and that is that. If I am alone, as I turn on the water and pick up the soap, I am 4 years old and standing at the grey, granite kitchen sink at 2909 Lafayette in St. Louis. My Dad is standing behind me saying, Sylvia, the boy doesnt even know how to wash his hands. and Mom is saying, Well, show him, then. And, as I proceed to wash my hands, I can feel his hands on mine, guiding them. That lesson took place 70 years ago. Dad has been gone 33 years.
