Do you think that Jiu-Jitsu fighters like Murilo Bustamante, Mario Sperry, Allan Goes, and other old school fighters started training to fight in Vale-Tudo or No-Hold-Barred events when they became black belts. NO!.....they started as white belts and continued to do so until they earned their black belts. A white belt should learn the fundamentals of fighting from day one and continue to do so as they progress. I am tired of hearing Jiu-Jitsu black belts say they want to fight MMA so they have to learn strikes, takedowns, and techniques for fighting. WTF? They should have learned that in their Jiu-Jitsu.
