Do you think your children are wasting time in school? Im sure most will say no...and others will say...they have no choices. Parents have to go out to work and provide for their families and their young children cannot stay home alone. Then there are the cool schools that actually kind-of babysit your children while offering them a child-led education...where the children choose his or her own curriculum. What is this thinking? Is it more hippie jargon? (((Well, hippies have a cool place in the world...off the grid thinkers))) Im very excited that I have found and opened up to this new (old) way of learning. I hope I can plant a seed in more parents heads that your children are living in a world that is super fascinating...and where knowledge is truly at their fingertips. I also want to share with you that your children are brilliant beyond your imagination and no grades are going to (shouldnt) tell you otherwise. These archaic styles of teaching are ruining lives. Very few children are happy in school...Out of 5 of my children...only one loves school. And not for the classes either. She loves the kids she gets to play with at lunch time. Well! Anyway, Im hoping more families will find that there are other alternatives to this standard education. We live in a time where the Universe is in our hands. My Sun is 6 years old and I have (we have) decided never to put him in school...unless he wants to go. That is a bold step to make and many people frown upon that. But if you were in my kitchen this morning while he was telling us these stories he came up with, no one would have ever thought he was behind in any way. It was super amazing!
