Do you want to try our food but you never had chance to get to Newark to visit our restaurant? On Sunday 23rd of March, Danube will be passing though the village of Bleasby! Please come and meet us at The Waggon and Horses and enjoy a delicious Sunday dinner. Seatings from 5.30pm and 8pm. Sunday dinner menu 17:30 - 20:00 (the last order) The dishes we offer are all freshly cooked on the premises using local ingredients whenever possible. If you would like any dish to be varied to suit your individual tastes then please ask our staff. 1 course £12.00 2 courses £15.00 3 courses £18.00 Starters Tomato, roast peppers and basil soup Served with freshly baked bread and butter. (V) (GF roll bread provided on request) Goat’s cheese Warm goat’s cheese served on a bed of salad, red beetroot, cherry tomatoes, pickled mushroom, roasted walnuts, raspberry and honey vinaigrette Homemade Frickadellen A delicious large meat ball cooked with minced pork and beef, garlic, parsley and bread crumbs and served with a salad of pickled roast peppers, gherkins, red beetroot and mushrooms. Crab cakes White and brown crab meat cakes in gold coriander breadcrumbs. Served with sweet chilli and tomato relish and salad. Duck and game pate A delicious pate finished with a lemon and port glaze. Served with toasted wholemeal bread and salad. Mains Pan griddled sea bass fillet drizzled with capers, parsley, lemon and butter sauce (GF); Wild mushrooms, brie and cranberry wellington (V); Roast pork stuffed with bacon and garlic and served in a white wine, mustard and rosemary sauce. (GF); Grilled corn fed chicken breast, gratinated with mozzarella cheese, tomato slices and oregano (GF); Danube’s special 24hours slowly braised Ox cheek served in a rich red wine and rosemary gravy (GF) Transylvanian Steak (+£3 supplement) Tender rump steak grilled to your liking, battered mushrooms, served with a red wine reduction sauce.
