Do you watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show? This week was cat week on her show and I just happened to watch on Friday when I was resting in bed. I was bowled over when she showed a photo of her cats. Maybe you all know this but two of her cats are old style Siamese. What made this such a shock to me was that when we first moved here I had Ellens show on every day as I unpacked our belongings. I remember when she first stated talking about Portia on her show. I remember one particular show because it caused me to do something I had never done before. Ellen was showing photos of her pets and said something about how she and Portia were different because one was more of a dog person and one was more of a cat person. The photos of cats she showed were not Siamese so of course being a Siamese lover I felt compelled to contact her and tell her how great a gift it would be to give Portia an old style Siamese because of how dog like they are, etc. As Siamese owners you all know this compulsion, lol. Now I dont normally contact people I dont know and Ive never written to a celebrity so this was a bit of a crazy cat lady moment. I figured some assistant might read it and into the trash it would go...and maybe it did. What knocked me for a loop was Ellen & Portia now own two old style Siamese! I started searching for information and found a clip that shows them in 2009. After I sent that message they acquired George a female blue point and Chairman a seal point. In a 2009 interview she said they were rescue cats and guessed the three cats ages were from 4 to 7 or 8 years old.
